(GAME SUMMARY)

|
Drake says: "In Samurai, each player has an identical force of warriors, priests, and peasants to use to gain control of the important power figures of Old Japan. The players deploy their forces to the spaces around the power figures. When a figure is surrounded, it is captured by the player with the strongest sympathetic force. To win, a player must gain dominance with one of the powers while getting better support from the other powers than the other players." |

John says: "Samurai is part o Reiner Knizia's tile-laying trilogy (together with Tigris & Euphrates and Through the Desert). The impressive game pieces and elegantly simple mechanics make this one a real winner! This one is easy to teach to new players and takes less than 5 minutes to explain! Every game is different and there's lots of consideration to which area or which figure type to dominate in. For a meatier game, it plays fast (usually between 30-40 minutes). " |
